Deep cleaning for hospitality

As the government continues to ease the Coronavirus lockdown, many businesses are reopening to staff and customers across the country, including retail outlets, gyms, salons, hotels, restaurants and more.

Our Deep Cleaning and Advisory Service has been called upon by many of these organisations in the North East and North Yorkshire. This includes the award-winning restaurant Matt Healy x The Foundry, which is owned by MasterChef: The Professionals runner-up, Matt Healy, and will form the focus of this case study.

By undertaking our One-off Response Package, Matt Healy x The Foundry was able to safely reopen its doors to staff and customers on 4th July, in line with the Government guidelines.

Our team of deep clean technicians received excellent feedback from the team at Matt Healy x The Foundry and, because the premises had been deep cleaned to NHS standards, staff were able to reassure customers that they had taken the appropriate measures to put their safety and wellbeing first during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Our Solution

As experts in deep cleaning and bio decontamination, we conducted a site visit to assess exactly what would be required and to determine the risk level of the establishment.

Once the client confirmed that they were happy with our quote, our deep clean technicians started the deep cleaning and bio decontamination process.

This involved a touch point clean of the premises, which helps to eliminate the presence of infection from common areas that are frequently touched by people throughout the day, including door handles, bannisters and light switches. The process was carried out using hypochlorous acid, a non-toxic solution that cleans, decontaminates and disinfects all current pathogens and micro-organisms present in buildings and their contents.

The decontamination of the building continued with the fogging process, which again used hypochlorous acid, to ensure that the entire restaurant was decontaminated, including hard-to-reach areas.

Once the deep cleaning was complete, Matt was presented with an NHS branded, official certificate of bio decontamination, which he has displayed in the restaurant to help reassure staff and customers that the correct measures have been taken to safely reopen during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Brief

Matt Healy x The Foundry enquired about our Deep Cleaning and Advisory Service to help prepare for the safe reopening of the restaurant to staff and the general public, as well as reassuring them that the premises have been deep cleaned to an NHS standard.

As with all of our deep cleaning packages, we started the process with a site visit of the Leeds-based restaurant to provide Matt with an accurate quote and job specification for deep cleaning his building.

Knowing that Matt would be welcoming staff and customers back into the restaurant shortly after our service was carried out, our team was required to conduct a deep clean and bio decontamination of the full premises as part of our One-off Response Package.
